The style and look of the shots was already established by Art Director Ray Chang but animation still needed to be executed on all elements.
Pulling inspiration from the actual UI design that the internal Lucid team had created for the vehicle's dashboard systems, these movements were translated and re-imagined for 3D
While the project was largely executed in Cinema4D, Houdini was used to generate the animated node network for one of the shots. Instead of relying on particle simulation, a highly art-directable system was coded using VEX. This allowed for granular control of the shape of the network, which was necessary to ensure it would match and track along with the camera move in the corresponding shot.
